For Jarron's 7th birthday party we rented a 16ft. water slide. We had 11 kids over and they never stopped climbing and sliding, except of course for the boys when we brought out the water guns. Even a few of us adults tried out the slide :) It was a blast!

A Week of Firsts
There are a lot of changes around here, and the new baby isn't even here yet! We needed to make room for baby so the boys beds finally got turned into bunk beds. I have been dreading this day as much as the boys have been looking forward to it. I am worried about broken bones, but moreover I am saddened because they don't need me to cuddle anymore at night. It is a new routine of reading books on the bottom bed ( "the cave" as Mason calls it) and then kisses goodnight. I used to get about 10 minutes of cuddling after lights out but they said they don't need it anymore :(
This baby has me exhausted. I have been so busy with soooooo many things that I just don't have enough energy for everything. Some of those things have been washing my own car, which I have always done, even pregnant with both of the boys. I have paid (for the first time) to have my car washed......twice. I bought store made cupcakes and cookies for Mason's preschool graduation party at my house, which I have never done before. Now I know why, they taste awful! And now I have paid to have the boys hair cut for the first time at the ages of 6 and 5. I have always cut their hair but I just have not gotten around to it for a while and they were getting really shaggy. Again, I could not muster up the extra energy. They were both nervous but brave and it was so nice to be able to just sit and watch. Eric said that their hair cut professionally didn't look any different than when I do it. Thanks for the compliment but I wish that wasn't so, then I would have a legit reason for spending the money. Can anyone tell I am a little bit frugal :)
Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant. But we are all very excited to meet this new baby who is already changing our lives in so many ways.
