How To Train Your Dragon Party

Jarron's 6th birthday party was a How To Train Your Dragon theme. First the kids painted their own shields. While they dried, Jarron read the story of How to Train Your Dragon. Then the kids learned a few sword fighting techniques and fought a huge red blow-up dragon that we hung from the ceiling and swung towards them. This was tons of fun! They also sword fighted amongst themselves with (thankfully) foam swords.

Next came the presents and Jarron was excited about each and every one of them! The finale was his new pet Blackie, an Emperor Scorpion. Jarron wanted a cupcake cake from Walmart but I was not about to pay that much so I made my best copy of it. We already had the toys to put on it, the viking ship and the dragon. I made the Isle of Berk (home of the vikings) out of marshmallows and cookie crumbs.

Then the pinata because they couldn't possibly have had enough sugar, right? This is our first time having a pinata because I have seen way too many Funniest Home Vidoes and I knew better! Jarron kept asking for one so I caved and am proud to say, nobody got hurt. It was a great day and I wish this next year goes by much slower. Quit growing up so fast Bugy. I love you my wonderful 6 year old xxxooo
